Meet the team. #7 Charlie

What is your job title?
Account Manager
What does that mean you actually do?
I build long term, prosperous, relationships with clients. I ensure we understand their needs and our solutions are tailored to suit. I’m involved every step of the way from concept to delivery ensuring targets and deadlines are achieved.
What is the best part of your job?
I love the pace and the variety, every day is different and as much as we can try to anticipate all possible obstacles there are always challenges. There’s a lot of creative problem solving and you have to wear many hats which I really enjoy. The team are fantastic, we all work really well together and want each other to succeed.
Are you a tea or coffee drinker?
Coffee! 100% – just a nice cup of coffee, ideally from Café Nerro.
What is the funniest thing that’s happened to you in the office?
Where to start… my colleagues have a great sense of humour. Anytime you’re away from your desk it’s likely they’ve been up to something. They moved a life size skeleton into my desk at Halloween, Sam and Jeremy kindly decorated my desk phone with jewels and ribbons, at Christmas Chris dressed up as the Grinch for our Christmas tree competition, for my birthday they decorated my desk (which was actually just really sweet).
Tell me about your biggest challenge in setting up a show?
I think the biggest challenge is usually time, there’s a lot of hard deadlines especially for the shows we do abroad where equipment needs to be shipped and if something slips there can be a domino effect. You can’t create more time (although I have been speaking to Doc Brown about borrowing the DeLorean) so you need to ensure that you have a contingency plan in place.
