Circdata was asked by a market-leading global information services and publishing company to provide a complete solution to the customer service, administration and booking needs for their face to face training business.

The challenge was to create a web based system that could serve the needs of end users, the client and a remote outsourced customer services team. In a period of just 4 months Circdata developed the MS ASPx based system included a website providing a self booking functionality via the internet as well as using the Circdata call centre to take bookings and payments by telephone.

The system provides for various methods of booking courses from manual inputting of faxed orders to integrated full online processing for end user and call centre staff. All end user history is maintained proving remote end-users with the ability to manage their own training needs and their CPD points (Continuing Professional Development). Payment options include cheque, BACS, direct debit and debit or credit card and multi-currency.

A key function of the system is its financial planning capabilities. This is an area in which Circdata has a depth of experience and expertise. The reporting includes providing financial analysis, from detailed cash reconciliation to complex revenue modelling, to venue capacity monitoring and to credit control.

All within the first year of operation, Circdata designed and built the system, recruited a customer service team and successfully managed the booking of 30,000 seminar, course and conference places held at over 500 individual events with a combined value in excess of £3.5 million.
